Romney and more importantly, Israel.

Thankfully, Gov. Mitt Romney, delivered a speech defending Israel, which I was very pleased with. Some things, however, may have bugged me. I have to say that unlike the Teddy Bear in office now, Mitt has a brain. He agrees with what Israel must do to protect it's citizens and yadda yadda.
This post isn't about whether or not I support Mitt in his opinion, thats way too obvious. Nor is it necessary to pour over every detail in the speech. That would be frustrating, useless and to be frank, boring.
This was just a segway into my more important topic, the State of Israel and her safety.

Let me give you actual events that have occured in the state of Israel.
A pregnant women drives up to the Border of Israel and asks for entry, showing the border control personel her doctor appointment paper. Her doctors appointment was legit. So what's the problem? She's not on the list.
I don't mean the list a bouncer looks at to see if you have the right connections. I mean the list that shows if it is needed to enter. To do this, a doctor would have to call up and assure the border control that it's necessary. But he didn't.
Raise your hand if you would see this women in the 7th month and allow her access.

All of you can now go write letters to the families of the people she blew to peices.

But you're going to ask, why did she do this?
This women was not married.
She was pregnant.
This disgraced her family.
So she did the right thing to restore the family honor. Sometimes this would be that the father or brother would have to behead her and show it as proof at the local court.
And before you start balking, yes this actually does happen. True story.

Now raise your hands if you would still bend the rules for a seemingly innocent women?

I should let you know, even I want to raise my own hand.
However, lets think rationally. This women is a victim. What's her fault in this? One could argue that her fault was the decision she made. But I am far more forgiving and I'm currently writing a letter to those families I mentioned earlier.
This women was born and raised in a hostile environment with strict rules and a censored press. How could she know any better?

That is something you can all think about on your time. But this is my time and I don't feel like arguing the decisions of a woman placed in a difficult situation.

I wouldn't mind arguing the decision of a man placed in an equally difficult situation.

True story:
It's a war, like usual.
An ambulance roars past with victims inside. A soldier and his partner who are medics rush to assist the injured civilians inside. They assumed they were innocent. These civilians see the Israeli soldiers and start shooting. They hit one guy and he falls. The other soldier is put in a difficult position. Does he stand there waiting to be shot at? Does he return fire to an ambulance with victims inside?

Raise your hand if you would return fire.

All of those who raised there hands are thinking like Americans. If the enemy plays dirty, theres nothing to do but defend yourselves. This soldier returned fire and was later accused by the rest of the world for trying to further injure victims.

Raise your hands if you see the fairness in that. Put those hands down before I barf.

One more example and we'll conclude after a breif discussion.

A 60 year old man comes up to the border control with the right papers, his name is on the list, the whole shabang. Everything's fine, they just need to inspect the vehicle.
Which is a problem.
See, this man is a farmer. And he has a whole pickup truck filled with oranges.

Don't raise your hands this time (gotcha!)

What would you do? Let him through? Deny him access?

The Border control follows their policy and have this man unload his truck.

You're going to ask, but why? You'r going to ask this because you know that Israel is a big follower in profiling. (Or at least now you do.)
So why would this man have to unload the truck?
He's 60 for God's sake! 60 year olds aren't terrorists. Terrorists retire at age 25. This guy is more than double the maximum age limit. Not only that, but it's in the middle of an Israeli summer! What does this guy want? To sell his oranges in peace!

So let's compromise.
Lets have the soldier do it.

Wrong.
I'll give you ten reasons. One for each of my fingers.

But we just said this guy isn't a terrorist!
Or is he? This man, is a grandfather. And unfortunately, a few days before hand, the actual terrorists took his grandson. They said, bring these explosives into Israel and we'll return your son.
What grandpa wouldn't do anything to save their grandson?

Thankfully, the border control wasn't as lax as in the first event. They caught him before the explosives were brought into the country and used in a bus bombing.

Fact: All above stories are ACTUAL events that have occured in the State of Israel.

Obviously, this isn't plain-old normal warfare. They're playing dirty!
There are actual accounts of terrorists stealing babies from others and using them as human sheilds!
And for some reason theres a flytilla to Israel, condemning them for their actions?
Does anyone know what they're talking about? I mean Seriously. SERIOUSLY!
For everyone who claims that Israelis are the problem and that they take pleasure in killing innocent people, they would have bombed their enemies by now. They have enough explosives to wipe out all of gaza at this moment.
But they don't.
They gave up gush katif. (The Gaza strip)!
They gave up more than 1/8 of their land in hopes of compromise and safety. It didn't even work. No matter what, they'll always want more.  It reminds me of a picture I came across.

No further explanation needed.

This is a major problem. This is war. And I must say, what bothers me about Mitt's speech is how he supports Israel. I didn't know that we needed your permission to keep our people safe. America enters wars all the time. They do horrendous things and they aren't the talked about country in the world.

Double standards.

They don't work. Get your noses out of our issues and we won't bother you about all of your faults. That includes the terrorists in the white house.
